Sidharth is a grade 11 student at Singapore American School, where has been studying for the past four years. Sidharth was born in San Francisco, US and moved to Gurgaon, India at the young age of two years old. After doing his elementary school in India, Sidharth moved to Singapore for his middle and high school.
Sidharth has a deep interest in science/technology, loves sharing knowledge through teaching and has a strong passion for bringing positive impact in the community. His intellectual curiosity and love for science has made him pursue advanced level courses in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. He also realized his love for teaching when he found himself helping peers in various computer science projects. Sidharth further pursued his teaching interest through participation in various school clubs such as the Digital Citizens and Code for All. Siddharth experienced impact on community first hand in 2021, when he actively supported the fundraiser to aid vaccination efforts for underprivileged communities in India during the COVID-19 pandemic. This fundraiser helped over 8000 people access the vaccine at a time when there was dire shortage. Underprivileged often risked long term poverty because of lack of this access.
Sidharth founded LetsCode to institutionalize his interest in bringing together his passions for technology, teaching, and community. LetsCode vision is to provide access to coding skills to the underprivileged, which Sidharth believes, if left unaddressed, would create a widening digital, social, and economic divide. LetsCode has partnered with Hamari Pahchan, an NGO which focuses on providing education access to the underprivileged in India, and plans to pursue its vision via the partnership.
