LetsCode was founded to enhance access to coding skills for students of underserved communities. Through step-by-step coding lessons, a user-friendly activity book and a fundraiser to help establish a computer lab at a local NGO, LetsCode aims to make coding education accessible to the students of these communities.
Our mission is to ensure that all students regardless of background are able to participate in the future that is going to rely on coding and computer literacy.
Some of the key project elements are detailed below:
LetsCode Activity Book will cover Python basics across 5 chapters. Each chapter will have step-by-step activities tailored for the students’ unique learning needs.
LetsCode Fundraising Campaign will be conducted to raise the funds required to set up the LetsCode Computer Lab in the premises of Hamari Pahchan. The lab will feature multiple functioning computers, modems, and software subscriptions that will be utilized by students to learn and hone invaluable coding and ICT skills.
LetsCode Workshops will then provide students with online sessions on the basics of coding languages like Python, which they will be able to attend through the lab.
LetsCode Volunteer Network will collaborate with the SAS Digital Citizens Club to gather volunteers who will be trained in the most effective teaching methods to continue hosting and teaching the online workshops
We hope to create a lasting impact in the lives of these communities through a concerted effort.
